CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
REPRESENTATIVE AT LARGE GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE |
(Jun 23, 2007) By the NC ******PLEASE POST TO ALL PROJECT LISTS****** June 20, 2007 USGENWEB GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE From: Bob Sweeney, Chairman Re: Vacancy on Grievance Committee Recently, Sharyl Ferrell, the At-Large Representative to the Grievance Committee and Committee Chairman, resigned due to demands on her time. Under the formal procedures of USGENWEB and the Committee, the remaining members elected me Chairman. I am now, at their behest, seeking candidates to fill this At-Large position. To be eligible, you must be a member of the USGENWEB Project or any Special Project with at least one year's experience. If selected, your membership on this Committee will be for two years. The primary responsibility of the Committee is to identify, select, train and supervise mediators to settle grievance disputes. That is, the committee members will not mediate disputes themselves, but will select and manage those who do. A member should have an even disposition, an ability to listen to both sides of an argument, and a willingness to recommend solutions and instruct others. Interested parties should communicate directly to me at my e-mail address below, with their name, contact e-mail and a paragraph with their background. I will present any such candidate [more than one if we have more than one interested] to the Committee for consideration and selection. We would think this is a fast-track process and certainly want and need to have it resolved in the next week or so. Sincerely, Bob Sweeney Chairman bobs@chall.com |
